The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) / Parent Leadership Network (PLN) Collaborative meeting is a parent engagement initiative grounded in partnership-building that ensures the learning and leadership experience of parents is relational, developmental, collaborative, and linked to learning.

The purpose is to:

  • Provide parents with updated and relevant District data to better inform them of the status of their individual schools

  • Connect parents with both city-wide and CPS departmental resources to help foster their leadership skills and their engagement in the learning process

  • Deliver both need-based and research-based workshops based on the five components to ensure we are empowering and servicing schools

  • Help parents create partnerships with educators, students, and other parents to increase the social, cultural, and human capital in their schools​​​​​​​
